About Me
Brianna Drain discovered her passion for creative arts as a young child. She began playing piano at the age of 3, then later began writing and producing her own music throughout middle and high school. Like every kid, she enjoyed using her imagination role-playing as different characters and putting on a play with her siblings and cousins. Once she discovered the camera, she'd write scripts and put together short film videos for her family and make YouTube videos as a creative outlet. She started off using GarageBand to make music and different editing softwares such as Final Cut Pro to edit her videos together, later discovering that creating videos is something she wants to do as a career.
With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Arts she obtained at the University of North Texas, Brianna has been able to enhance her skills, learn new techniques, and gain experience working as a filmmaker, primarily a cinematographer. Throughout her college career, she's worked with the North Texas Television News station as both audio technician and live shot camera operator, the North Texas Television entertainment show, Late Night at North Texas, as a camera operator, three short films as 1st and 2nd assistant camera and lead audio, and the director of photography for one feature film.
As she begins her career as a filmmaker, her goal is to create media that inspires and promotes change in this world. Knowing the strong influence that media has on modern society, she hopes to tell a story that gives a new perspective, give voices to those unheard, and challenge cultural norms opening up the world to new ideas.
